Retention counselors (RCs) help students in-person or in a virtual format with learning content and concepts, test-taking strategies, time management, clinical skills, scholarly writing, and coping strategies. RCs facilitate student success because they are approachable, trustworthy, and empathetic as they establish a close connection with students.
