Spirituality is an integral part of how patients achieve harmony with mind, body, and spirit. There is a gap in addressing spirituality of patients in nursing and society itself. People are generally not comfortable talking about their spirituality, which is at the heart and soul of their identity. The FICA (Faith and belief, Importance, Community, and Addressing care) is a tool that can be used to assess the multiple dimensions of spirituality in patients.
